This idea seeks to design a new market typology that integrates newer systems such as natural cooling fridges, biogas systems, rentable vertical farms, drone delivery systems, solar panel roofing and virtual markets. All these coupled with critical design thinking to layout the market for most efficient circulation for people and food will be used to create this market of the future.

1. The natural cooling system will use the same systems employed by Fresh Box https://www.freshbox.co.ke/
2. The biogas systems will be conveniently placed near market which are usually one of the main sources of organic waste and therefore the market will produce fuel for itself to be used in kitchens in the market and it’s environs
3. Rentable vertical farms will be integrated into the market to bring the produce even closer to the vendors
4. Drone delivery systems will be used in tandem with grocery shopping apps and the vendors will be able to get food to consumers faster and more efficiently with the creation of neighborhood drone ports.
5. The virtual markets will be online platforms to order groceries which will be delivered by the drones.
6. The solar panel roofing system will the power source of the market making it self sustaining and sustainable.
