food rack is a social enterprise working to ensure easy,effective,timely and affordable access of quality food to urban suburbs dwellers with increased earning to small scale farmers through disruptive efficient distribution and delivery model that eliminate food wastage and ensure supply of long selflife food to locals.we provide a platform through which slum dwellers via retailers can preorder food to be supplied twice a week. We aggregate orders and give them to aggregated poor small scale farmers(farmers group and Sacco’s)who harvest a day to delivery. To farmers we give packaging crates and modified atmospheric packaging bags for safe food packaging and increased selflife as per customized orders.we outsource logistic services who correct farmers from bulking centre and supply to urban retailers sale points.

Through these we ensure safe convenient and affordable access to quality safe food to urbanites and increased price to farmers. Effective packaging in crates and map bags ensure safe derivery with zero food waste through mishandling. Map bags increase fresh crop selflife by 40 days.to supermarket and groceris, we provide alternative write off venue of food approaching end life instead of wasting it with loses ,our ordering schools and hotels who are immediate consumer get these at a lower price.to bring these food to Nairobi,we leverage on empty return transit vehicles where we connect them with collection center to a drop point near the city.these is cheaper and save Nairobi hundreds of small pickups that could be used to transport these products to Nairobi.
