We are cashless, social B2B business that’s using technology, efficient supply chain and green energy to ensure there is accessible and affordable food for the many. People living in urban centers in Kenya get 33% of their nutritional in take from street food. Street Food contribute significantly to local diets, especially among the urban poor, since street foods are convenient, cheap and easily accessible. For low income neighbourhoods more than 40% of households consume street food. Street vendors (SFV) face a variety of challenges in their service provision especially in key areas; 1.Energy: Sourcing for cooking energy which following government ban on charcoal has become expensive and inaccessible 2.Ingredients & Storage: Sourcing for cooking ingredients and lack of storage space/structures 3.Water & Sanitation: Inadequate water, storage, drainage and regular rubbish collection 4.Health & Livelihood: Street food vendors use wood/charcoal for cooking which increases their exposure to smoke related ailments. Smoke related ailments have been shown to be the leading cause of death in Kenya . At a click of a button on their mobile phone we can supply all the street food vendors needs from clean water, all food ingredients pre-cooked pulses, to tents, tables and even cooking utensils. Our model is simple, scalable and environmentally friendly.
