Lean Cleansing ( L+C )

L+C is an Eco-friendly lean distribution system for house and body liquid cleaners, where producers, supermarkets and consumers benefit.

Long description

L+C is a dispensing system in which customers introduce their own empty bottles of cleaning products to refill with their favorite brand. The machine automatically scans the bar-code to refill that same product and amount and will enter the bar-code in the supermarket cash register system. Consumers will need their original bottles for refilling to enjoy a discount to promote a sustainable culture, thus preventing bottles from possibly ending in land fields.   Manufacturers will deliver bulk tanks rather than bottles to supermarkets to refill the machines. Producers of multiple brands will use the same machine with a multi tank system from where to dispense the particular brand each costumer prefers. The supermarket will replace most of the bottle shelf with dispensing machine space, after a fade away period while costumers get accustomed to bringing back their bottles to supermarket for refills.   All three actors save money while contributing towards a sustainable lifestyle. Manufacturers will save by reducing bottle and box packaging purchases and lowering logistical costs, while supermarkets will save in stock shelving personnel as well as in floor and storage space. If producers and supermarkets pass their savings to consumers, they will become agents of positive change, possibly infusing a sustainable culture in other areas. Finally, City Government will have less trash to move and send to land fields, generating savings too.   The system will be introduced to producers with a campaign. Once there is a first adopter, it will motivate the rest to compete in savings and image.
