Today, we need a clean energy solution to replace the current cooling solution that consumes a lot of energy and contribute to higher urban temperatures. I hence propose terra which is a temperature control terracotta potting system that represents a healthy and ecological alternative using traditional methods. The hollow cavity is ideal for growing plants ( especially air purifying plants like money plant, devil ivy and spider plant). The trapezoid clay pots porosity allows water retention and guarantees the perfect growing environment for the plants. The water that runs over and through the spaces between the pots slowly evaporates leaving the area cool. The integrated watering system, therefore, serves a dual purpose, watering the plants and cooling the air. The ecosystem is completed with an integrated seating area in white marble that reflects sunlight and is cool and the roof that provides shade. The traditional tiled roof is lined with solar panels that produce energy to pump water up to the plants and powers the lighting system at night. The charging points use the extra power generated. Terra acts as a cooling zone where people can come together to relax and refresh themselves while being in close contact with nature. It also plays a crucial role in acting as an air filter within the urban ecosystem. Revenue earned through leasing advertising space will be a good way to ensure the upkeep of terra. Traditional techniques of creating clay pots and an increase in its demand will help provide employment opportunities
