Trash for light

System of recollecting trucks that gader recycling waste in exchange of points that can be use to reduce the rate in the electricity bill.

Long description

The project consist in create awareness and provide information to the people living in Mexico City, by separating their trash into three classifications: plastic, steel and e-waste. Implementing a system of recollection of those materials using trucks that will have three compartments including a compaction system for  plastic. This trucks will use natural gas instead of gasoline for a lower pollution impact.

The content will be given to existing recycling plants  or by creating new ones on the way. The people in exchange will receive an electronic card to earn points that will be converted into kilowatt per hour in the federal commission of electricity.  This will allow users to receive a lower rate in the collection of their electricity bill.

How does this points work?

Steel, plastic and e-waste have different values depending in the quantity that the person collects. E-waste regards more points due to their valuable price in the recycling market.  Then we have steel and at the end plastic as the lower regard. The more points you get the lower the rate.
